White Coat Ceremony Ushers in New Pharmacy Class

With Heather Wilson, president of The University of Texas at El Paso, looking on, José O. Rivera, Pharm.D., founding dean of the UTEP School of Pharmacy, officiated the 2024 White Coat Ceremony on Aug. 24 at Magoffin Auditorium to welcome 50 new students into the Doctor of Pharmacy Class of 2028.

The School of Pharmacy welcomed 50 new students into the Doctor of Pharmacy Class of 2028. Following tradition, the school welcomed the new students at its annual White Coat Ceremony on Aug. 24 at Magoffin Auditorium on the UTEP campus.

Reminder: University Closed for Labor Day

UTEP will be closed next Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Regular hours and classes will resume Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Meet UTEP’s Newest Faculty

A new cohort of tenured, tenure-track and instructional faculty members come to UTEP with a breadth of expertise that ranges from science, health sciences, pharmacy and the performing arts to humanities, education, engineering, social sciences and business.
