Katja Michael First Woman from UTEP to Join National Academy of Inventors

The associate professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry has been named a Senior Member of the NAI. She is the first female member of the UTEP faculty to earn this honor, joining 162 emerging academic inventors in the 2025 class of Senior Members.

UTEP Students Provide Free Tax Prep Services through Project VITA

This year marks the 10th year that the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and UTEP have been in partnership. The partnership allows students to gain experience while providing free tax preparation to qualifying families in the region.
