UTEP, 1st Armored Division Band to Host Concert Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday

UTEP Bands will host a concert and educational initiative in partnership with the 1st Armored Division Band at Fort Bliss in honor of the nation’s 250th birthday, supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The concert, “Sound of Service: UTEP and Fort Bliss Bands in Concert,” will take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 in Magoffin Auditorium.

Faculty, Staff Parking Permits on Sale Wednesday

Parking permits for the 2026-27 academic year will go on sale soon. Faculty and staff permit sales begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 29. Permits purchased on or after that date will be valid beginning Aug. 16, 2026.

Annual Enrollment for UT System Benefits Ends Friday

UTEP employees have through Friday, July 31 to make any insurance changes for the plan year beginning Sept. 1. If employees do not want to make any changes and are not enrolling in UT FLEX, no action is needed. Employees must log in and make elections if they plan to continue Health Care and/or Dependent Care Reimbursement account.

UTEP AWARE Applications Due Friday

Faculty and staff have until Friday, July 31, to apply for UTEP AWARE Class XXXV, a nine-month professional development program designed to deepen engagement with the University’s mission, people and impact.

Donate Travel-Sized Hygiene Items for ‘Miners Helping Miners’ Initiative

Through this week, the UTEP CARE program is accepting travel-sized toiletries for care kits assembled by students. Drop off shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, body wash, soap bars and body lotion at Union Building West, Room 106; Union Building East, Room 304; or the UTEP Food Pantry, Memorial Gym, 101 W. Robinson Ave. Food pantry hours are 12 p.m.-2 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. If you can’t make it to these locations, visit the Food Pantry Amazon Wishlist.
