Five UTEP Graduates Selected for Prestigious Fulbright Awards

Five recent graduates have been selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, earning opportunities to teach, serve and conduct research as cultural ambassadors in Taiwan, Spain, the Slovak Republic, Peru and Nepal. The Fulbright Program is one of the nation's most competitive international exchange initiatives, providing fellowships for research, teaching and graduate study in more than 140 countries.

Ozempic, GLP-1s May Help Curb Substance Use Disorders, UTEP Study Finds

A new study led by UTEP researchers found that use of weight loss drugs like Ozempic and other GLP-1s are associated with a lower risk of developing alcohol, opioid, nicotine and cocaine use disorders.

UTEP Football Legend Will Hernandez to Host Youth Camp June 20

The UTEP Football Youth Camp will run from 8-10 a.m. Saturday at Sun Bowl Stadium for grades eight and younger. Hernandez, who's currently with the NFL's Arizona Cardinals, played on the offensive line at UTEP from 2013 to 2017 and earned back-to-back Associated Press All-America second team honors.
