As an undergraduate student, Rene Miranda was intrigued by the work his instructors were doing in aerospace exploration. He leaned on those relationships to join UTEP’s Aerospace Center while also pursuing a master’s degree. It was a pivotal experience that solidified his interest in the aerospace industry. Miranda credits the tutelage of UTEP faculty for helping him find a job as a mechanical engineer-rocket scientist at United Launch Alliance.
Aerospace and aeronautical engineering graduates will be prepared for careers in aerospace, aeronautical and defense systems engineering and related disciplines for companies such as Lockheed Martin, Blue Origin and NASA.
