Services with suggested timelines
Through a strategic proposal development process, our team works to make your proposals as competitive as possible. Our office provides a wide range of services to help you every step of the way. The earlier you solicit our services, the more support we can give you.
To get started, submit a Notice of Intent. Once we receive your NOI, we can:
- Analyze Funding Opportunities (by appointment)– We can go through funding opportunities and conduct funding searches to help you find grants, determine your eligibility, and help you prep to write your proposal.
- Schedule a Discovery Meeting – We like to kick off the proposal development process with a discovery meeting to learn more about your proposal and research, answer your questions, and create a game plan.
- Perform Internal Review (two weeks) – Our Proposal Development team is comprised of writers and editors who can help you edit your proposal to ensure it is clear, effective, grammatically sound, and competitive.
- Draft Additional Documentation (four weeks) – Our team can also help review supporting documents, such as CVs, Bio sketches, letters of support and assist in drafting letters of support requiring signature from the VPR.
- Send for External Review (four weeks) – If submitted early enough, we can submit your proposal for external review, receiving feedback from subject matter leaders in the field to make your proposal more competitive. This is free of charge for all UTEP faculty.
- Submission – The UTEP Research Administration team submits proposals on your behalf and assists you with compliance and budgeting.
