UTEP Vaccination Clinic Rescheduled for Friday and Saturday
Wednesday, January 20, 2021
Some good news. We now have shipping confirmation for our first delivery of 975 doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccines will arrive at UTEP on Thursday.
We’ve decided to run the vaccination clinic Friday and Saturday to get our highest risk faculty, staff and students vaccinated without delay.
Those faculty, staff and students who were scheduled previously and who are at high risk will be sent an email directly to reschedule for Friday and Saturday.
We understand we weren’t the only location in Texas that had changes in vaccine arrival dates this week. We are going to keep participating in the vaccination program. Going forward, we won’t schedule people until we have confirmation from the shipper that vaccine is en route.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused by short notice rescheduling. And thanks to the Pharmacy faculty and students and the vaccination team for stepping up and spending their Saturday helping to protect the rest of us.
