Take the Miners Pledge!
Monday, November 23, 2020
When we asked some of our students what we could do to help encourage best health practices and keep everyone safe from COVID-19, they suggested a pledge campaign.
With their input, we launched the Miners Pledge. Whether it’s committing to wear a mask, maintain social distancing, get tested regularly, or chat to friends and family on Zoom or Teams instead of meeting in person, there are many things our students are committing to do to protect themselves and others or to set a good example.
Now, we’re asking you to take the Miners Pledge and make a commitment to help fight COVID-19.
Visit utep.edu/minerspledge to make your pledge, and tell us why you’re doing it. Include a photo or video of yourself taking the pledge or showing what you’re doing to stop the spread.
Make your pledge in English or Spanish, based on your preference.
You are also encouraged to share your pledge on social media using #minerspledge. Tag five fellow Miners to challenge them to take the pledge. You will find some helpful shareable graphics in the toolkit on the Miners Pledge website at utep.edu/minerspledge.
Please join our students and take the Miners Pledge today!
