UTEP Line Available for Students, Employees and Families at State Drive-Through Testing Site
Friday, October 23, 2020
If you are learning or working from home or have COVID-19 symptoms, be sure to take advantage of the special UTEP line at the state drive-through testing site located on campus.
Starting Oct. 26, 2020, UTEP will have its own section of the state testing site every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Schuster 3 parking lot at Schuster Avenue and Lawton Drive. You can see a map of the site here. To access the UTEP section, enter the parking lot from Lawton Drive.
The UTEP line will be open to UTEP students, employees and their family members in the same vehicle from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, once the daily capacity is reached, the section will be closed for the day to additional testing and vehicles will be rerouted to the public drive-through site in the nearby Schuster 1 parking lot at Schuster Avenue and the Spur 1966 roundabout.
You do not need to preregister for testing. Registration will take place when you are in line at the drive-through site.
Testing is free, convenient, and you can bring your family. You will need to show your UTEP Miner Gold Card to access the UTEP line.
UTEP’s walk-up testing sites on campus are reserved for students and employees who have to be on campus for courses or work and DO NOT have any COVID-19 symptoms.
