CHEMISTRY AND COMPUTER SCIENCE BUILDING "TOP OUT" CEREMONY
The construction of UTEP’s new Chemistry and Computer Science Building reached a milestone on May 21. Hundreds of people joined UTEP President Diana Natalicio at the job site to watch as the building’s final beam was hoisted to the top of the infrastructure during the University's "Topping Out" celebration.

Dr. Gardea-Torresdey was awarded a grant (UTEP Principal Investigator) from the National Science Foundation/Environmental Protection Agency (Center for the Environmental Impact of Nanotechnology) Grant of $38,000,000 for the funding period of 10/01/08 to 09/01/13.
