Congratulations to our Aide Escanuela!
Aide Escanuela earned a 2017 summer internship at the Southern California Earthquake Center (SCEC), which coordinates fundamental research on earthquake processes using Southern California as its principal natural laboratory. This program will last 8 weeks and will be located at the University of Southern California’s campus in Los Angeles. Ms. Escanuela, a junior in Geological Sciences, has been able to gain research experience as part of the Academic Year Pathways Research Experience Program (AY-PREP), funded by the National Science Foundation and executed within the Department of Geological Sciences. She hopes to build upon the research skills that she has learned, and to fully engage in research activities at SCEC.
