Educator Preparation Program (EPP) Admission

College of Science students pursuing a Secondary Education minor must fulfill the following requirements to be considered for admission into the College of Education Educator Preparation Program (EPP):

  • Complete Core Curriculum and 15 hours in your content area.

  • Complete 60 semester credit hours with a cumulative UTEP GPA of 2.75 or better.

  • Pass the practice content exam on 240tutoring.com.

  • Submit an Application for Admission to the Education Preparation Program to the College of Education Center for Student Success. 

  • Request an official degree plan from your College of Science Secondary Education advisor.
