BASICS is an evidenced-based program designed for students at academic institutions who use alcohol or marijuana and have experienced negative consequences. It is aimed at revealing the discrepancy between a student’s risky drinking behavior and their goals and values.
* Since 2014, over 1,200 U. T. System students identified as high-risk or problematic drinkers have successfully participated in the program.
* The experience of negative consequences from drinking decreased by 59.2%.
