Mission and Vision
Mission
The University of Texas at El Paso Collegiate Recovery Program (UTEP CRP) is dedicated to maintaining a supportive community for students in recovery and in hope of recovery from substance and behavior addictions. We strive to improve understanding to reduce stigma associated with addiction and recovery in order to ensure access to a well-rounded college experience. Our program emphasizes establishing an inclusive environment for students at any stage of recovery or as allies to foster opportunities for excellence personally and academically.
Vision
To establish a specified space to enhance safety, support, and well-being of students as they engage in recovery.
To empower students to engage in their recovery and to be active participants in advocacy for recovery efforts.
To emphasize inclusivity and community through culturally sensitive dialogue and programming both on and off campus.
To expand into an exemplary and recognized resource for early intervention and sustained recovery for students, community members, and the El Paso region at large.
