What is ECHS?
The ECHS initiative enables high school students to earn an associates degree and their high school diploma simultaneously upon graduation from an ECHS campus. The program promotes access to a higher education to low-income underrepresented students, and an opportunity to participate in a vigorous academic program.
In Region 19, which includes El Paso and surrounding areas, there are currently eighteen early college high school campuses. These include:
- Burges Early College (within Burges HS)
- Clint ISD Early College Academy
- Cotton Valley ECHS (within Fabens HS)
- Mission ECHS
- Northwest ECHS
- Rams Early College (within Montwood HS)
- Socorro Early College (within Socorro HS)
- Transmountain ECHS
- Valle Verde ECHS
- Trailblazers Early College (within Americas HS)
- Parkland ECHS (within Parkland HS)
- Ysleta HS Early College Academy (within Ysleta HS)
- Falcon Early College (within Eastlake HS)
- Pebble Hills Early College (within Pebble Hills HS)
- Empire ECHS (within El Dorado HS)
- J.M. Hanks ECHS (within J.M. Hanks HS)
