Being engaged at UTEP means finding something to be involved with that brings you closer to the UTEP community! There are a number of ways to be an engaged student at UTEP. As part of the UTEP Edge, the Student Engagement & Leadership Center focuses on providing numerous engagement and leadership opportunities for all students. Here are a few ways to be engaged at UTEP:

Campus Engagement Programs
When: each semester, during the first week of classes.
Join us all week for fun activities, leadership, student organizations and more! Get your semester started on the right track with #MinerWelcome!
When: On the LAST Wednesday of each month during the semester
Where: UTEP Union Plaza
Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm

Each month we host a fun event in the Union Plaza complete with food trucks, student organizations, campus departments, and entertainment! We also partner with the UTEP Bookstore to bring you great UTEP gear and student discounts.
Orange and Brew
When: April 15
Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm

The Union Gallery

Where: Union Bldg. East, 2nd floor (across from the Food Court)
The Union Gallery is a space constructed to recognize, and commemorate the work, achievements and experiences of the University’s extended community throughout the school year. Exhibits displayed vary greatly in medium and encourage visitors of all backgrounds to be reflective, imaginative and explorative. In accordance with the Student Engagement & Leadership Center’s mission, the Union Gallery offers a meaningful platform for University students to acquire a sense of belonging on campus. Further, the Gallery advances the mission of the UTEP Edge by promoting community engagement, creative activities, and research & scholarly activities.

Up All Night
When: each semester, the Thursday before Dead Day
Where: Centennial Plaza (spring semester), EPNGCC (fall semester)
Time: 6:00pm - 12:00am
Up All Night is the last hoorah before Finals Week! Join us for live music, giveaways, and a late breakfast; then prepare to rock your finals!
