Inclusion & Advocacy
The Inclusion & Advocacy programs of the Student Engagement and Leadership Center aspire to be the beacon of equity for the University of Texas at El Paso. Through assisting students to seek commonalities and celebrate differences amongst their community, students will be better prepared to enter the post collegiate world. Students will gain the skills and resources needed to leave the university with a more defined global perspective.
Our programs will teach students to be advocates and the voice for underrepresented and marginalized populations. In addition, we will celebrate our commonalities and differences by engaging in shared cultural celebrations and collaborating with diverse organizations and departments.
Rainbow Miner Initiative (RMI)
RMI symbolizes a safe space for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) community and their allies; an environment free of judgment, bias, and discrimination.
