The Center prides itself in promoting leadership development opportunities for students on campus. Below is a list of additional leadership programs students can participate in depending on their eligibility.
The Inclusive Leadership Panel Series is a monthly event dedicated to celebrating diverse leaders from UTEP and the El Paso community. Each month, the dialogue will focus on Inclusive leadership best practices and current issues affecting that identity – discussed by campus and community experts as well as self-identifying students relevant to that months panel.
The Leadership Workshop Series is designed to provide students with the necessary tools to aid in their leadership development as inclusive leaders in the community.
The Leadership Pop-Up Series is a collection of recurring “Pop-Ups” around campus that are oriented around leadership development. At various times through out the semester, a tent and table will be set up somewhere on campus during periods of peak visibility. Students who stop by will be able to participate in a leadership activity, receive a “pop” themed item, and learn more about SELC and our upcoming programs.
Powerful Pages is a program designed to provide students with literature that will enhance, strengthen and challenge their perceptions of leaders. Participants will meet bi-weekly a semester to discuss the assigned readings and engage in fun, educational activies in a peer group setting. If you enjoy reading and engaging in criticial discussions surrounding leadership, then this is the program for you!
