Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities operated by recipients of federal financial assistance to include sexual harassment and sexual violence.
Although all faculty, staff and student employees are required to complete a compliance module about Title IX, it is widely recognized that some staff, faculty and student employees are more likely than others to learn of incidents of sexual violence and sexual harassment including sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking due to their role on campus.
This workshop will provide information, resources and guidance on what to do if you are made aware of and incident of sexual harassment or sexual violence and the steps you must take to report the incident immediately to the Title IX Coordinator, Deputy Title IX Coordinators or appropriate department.
