Welcome to University Communications
The Office of University Communications serves as the University’s marketing, communications and media relations office. We work with each college and unit on campus to develop and implement strategic communication goals and strategies that support the priorities of the unit and the University as a whole.
We assign a communications manager to each unit that will be your liaison for all of the services we provide, including:
Working with the Media
- Media requests for information and interviews, pitching faculty experts, sending out press releases, media training for faculty and staff
University News
- Stories for print and digital platforms including utep.edu, college websites and the UTEP Magazine, or to pitch to local/regional/national/international media
Photography and Videography
- Photography and video production for marketing and promotional materials, as well as multimedia platforms including print, web, electronic display boards and social media
Graphic Design
- Brochures, banners, print or electronic ads, programs, invitations, maps and other print or digital projects
Logo and Branding
- Consultation on use of the official UTEP graphic identity elements, including logos, and incorporating University branding into your print or digital projects
Web Development
- Website design and development
Social Media
- Content for UTEP’s official social media channels, training and consultation on social media guidelines and best practices for secondary UTEP social media channels maintained by colleges, departments, programs and other units on campus
Advertising
- Coordination of advertising and sponsorship opportunities to leverage unified messages and available resources
