ATM Locations

Safety Training Courses

You can participate in a variety of safety training courses — such as CPR or laboratory safety certification — for free! Outdoor Adventure Program

You can rent equipment for your next outdoor adventure at the Student Recreation Center. Gear like tents, sleeping bags, camp stoves and more is available to all students, faculty and staff for a nominal fee. Learn more about equipment rental through the Outdoor Adventure Program:


University Police Escort Service

You don’t have to walk alone. You can ask a University Police officer to accompany you to your vehicle or a Miner Metro Shuttle stop at any time. Enhance your peace of mind 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 915-747-5611.


On-Campus Childcare

You can take your children to an on-campus childcare center, whether it’s just for a few hours or all week. The University Heights Early Learning Academy is supported by the YWCA and open to children of UTEP students, faculty and staff. For more information and rates:


Student Career Closet

Students can use the Career Closet, a free lending service that provides professional clothing for interviews, networking events and other occasions where they need to make a good first impression. Learn more at


UTEP Employee and Family Care Center

UTEP employees, their dependents and retirees have priority status to see a doctor at the UTEP Employee and Family Care Center with Texas Tech Physicians. Members of the UTEP community are fast-tracked to the head of the line, allowing them to return to work and their daily routines as soon as possible.


Miner Metro Shuttle Tracking

UTEP Food Pantry

UTEP students who are enrolled in courses in the fall or spring semesters have access to nonperishable and nutritious food at the UTEP Food Pantry, located in Memorial Gym. Learn more at

Lactation Stations

UTEP has three lactation stations on campus where nursing mothers can express milk or nurse their child in a private, comfortable and quiet space. The newest lactation room is in University Towers room 208. Other available rooms are located in Union Building West room 112 and the Health Sciences and Nursing Building room 400. Theatre and Dance Discounted Pricing

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Mobile Food Orders with Tapingo

Use Miner Bucks On and Off Campus

Miner Bucks are now accepted at Luby’s and Chipotle! You can use your Miner Gold Card to make purchases on campus at the UTEP Bookstore or food service outlets with Miner Bucks. You can also use your Miner Bucks to pay for purchases at some off-campus locations. Learn more:


Military Resource Center

In addition to the Military Student Success Center in the library, the Military Resource Center in the El Paso Natural Gas Conference Center is a dedicated area where military students and veterans can learn about resources available to them. It’s also a quiet place for them to study, use computers and hold workshops. Learn more:


Free Bicycle Registration

You can register your bicycle with UTEP Police for free. Registering your bike allows campus police and area law enforcement to reunite you with your bike if it is ever lost or stolen. Register here:


“Mining Minds” Hidden Message

There is a secret message hidden on the “Mining Minds” sculpture located on the University Avenue roundabout. The message "Believe in yourself and in your dreams. Believe in UTEP and its aspirations. Share the dream!" is written in binary on the sculpture. Learn more:

Notary Services

The Office of Human Resources offers free notary services to UTEP employees. Bring your documents and a picture ID to room 216 in the Administration Building to get your documents notarized. More info:

Cross Parking

Cross parking is available on campus when the Miner Metro Shuttle is not in service, such as between academic sessions. With your current UTEP parking permit, you can park in any remote, perimeter or silver lot. Parking in the Sun Bowl and Schuster garages is allowed after 4 p.m. and inner campus parking is permitted after 5 p.m. For more information, call 915-747-5724.

Wireless Printing
