3rd Party Sponsor
A third-party is an entity which guarantees payment of tuition and/or fees on behalf of a student with whom it has a relationship. Examples of a third party are:
- Employers
- City, County, State or Federal Government
- Military Units
- Foreign Governments
- Private Organizations
For non - military students:
- All students being sponsored by a third-party entity need to submit a Statement of Understanding (SOU) by the payment deadline.
- Once the SOU is received, Student Business Services will review and process the form.
- Once the form is processed, Student Business Services will code the student's account to secure the students's classes from being dropped due to nonpayment.
- If payment is not received, the student is responsible for the balance and registration will be restricted until payment is submitted.
- For more information about non-military third-party sponsorship click here.
For military students and their dependents:
Student Business Services no longer requires a SOU form. Contact Military Student Success Center at (915) 747-5342 or via email to mssc@utep.edu for pre-certification requirements.International Payments
