This project is a collaboration that involves researchers from UTEP’s School of Pharmacy and the College of Health Sciences’ departments of Social Work and Physical Therapy, and four community partners including the University’s Student Health and Wellness Center. Berger is the project’s principal investigator. José O. Rivera, Pharm.D., dean of the pharmacy school, is the grant’s co-PI.

The project will place students in rural, integrated health care settings, involve them and staff at partner sites in interprofessional educational activities, and encourage interest in the pursuit of academic careers to educate future generations.
