The College of Education's State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) approved Master Reading Teacher Program is standards-based. As shown in the "Steps to Master Reading Teacher Certification" and the "Degree Plan" below, the program is 12 credit hour maximum/6 credit hour minimum designed to allow students to meet SBEC standards through graduate course work and other appropriate educational experiences. All students are required to submit an application and be individually advised by graduate faculty in literacy/biliteracy education.
