This program, funded through a combination of grants and scholarships, covers tuition and mandatory fees for undergraduate Texas students whose families have an adjusted gross income of $80,000 or less. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA, be enrolled full-time, have financial need, and complete 24 credit hours in an academic year.

The University offers these academic scholarships to individuals with grade point averages of at least 3.25 who rank in the top 10% of their graduating high school class. The application includes a student essay.

Terry Scholars are well-rounded, hard-working students with a capacity to be future leaders. Recipients must be incoming freshmen who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, meet Texas residency requirements, and must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Submitting a FAFSA is required.
Full tuition and a living stipend; renewable for three years

This is a great opportunity for students who want to become researchers in biomedical engineering or the health, social, behavioral or biomedical sciences. The National Institutes of Health supports these prestigious scholarships. Recipients must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with no more than 60 undergraduate credit hours and enrolled in an approved BUILD major.

The Dream.US Scholarship covers full tuitions and fees and provides a stipend for undocumented students who show high motivation but have significant financial need. Scholars are chosen based on “grade point average, test scores, demonstrated commitment to community service, and the student’s ability to overcome the barriers and challenges faced by undocumented students.”
