    8.- Scholarship Stipend Recipients

    To qualify for exemption from paying non-resident tuition, a student must be awarded a competitive scholarship/stipend in the amount of $1,000 or more for the academic year, the summer session or both by an official scholarship committee or committees of the public institution of higher education they are attending.
