Killing Time

by Linda Caldwell

I stepped off the plane
already scoping
backward to home.

Through the wrong end
of the telescope,
my life tumbles
down the rabbit hole of time.

Now I shuffle postcards,
search brochures
for the 40 shades of green
I saw from the tarmac.
