Campbell, Room 107 (915) 747-7250 1.- Admission Requirements 2.- MS Degree Requirements 3.- Speech-Language Pathology (SPLP) Courses 2.- MS Degree Requirements Majors in Speech-Language Pathology must complete: A minimum of 54 semester hours, of which 45 are in required courses (see below) and nine are electives selected with the approval of the graduate advisor. A minimum of 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum is required. In addition, 25 clock hours of supervised clinical observation must be completed prior to beginning the initial practicum experience. Comprehensive written and oral examinations are required for students who choose not to write a thesis. Students who write a thesis are required to defend the thesis in an oral examination. Students who choose to write a thesis must enroll in SPLP 3598 and 3599. Those six hours count as electives toward the minimum of 54 hours.
