Educational Background: Dr. Das did his B.Tech. from West Bengal University of Technology followed by M. Tech from Jadavpur University. He received his PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay

Vishal Zade, Ph.D. Candidate
Educational Background: Vishal got his BS in ME from Nagpur Univ. and MS in ME from Univ of Akron, Ohio and worked at Univ of California, Merced as a graduate researcher before joining UTEP for Ph.D.
Research Interest: Fundamental understanding of gallium oxide bulk ceramics, pulsed laser deposition, thin films and coatings.
Hobbies: Riding motorcycles, jogging, bouldering, and hiking.
Nanthakishore Makeswaran, Ph.D. Student
Educational Background: Nanthakishore Makeswaran is currently pursuing his PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso. He went to Florida institute of Technology for his BS in Aerospace Engineering

Educational Background: Rebecca got her B.S. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at UTEP, El Paso, Texas. She got her PgDip Subsea and Pipeline Engineering from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland and is currently pursuing PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at UTEP.
