Attendance at 2026 UT System Trauma Research Symposium

February 2026 - Dr. Poon and Jael Chavez (along with our collaborators at the Michael Lab) attended the 2026 UT System Trauma Research Symposium in Austin. Jael presented his research poster on high-throughput screening of immunomodulatory LNPs for sepsis treatment.

Publication in Biochemistry and Biophysics Reports

February 2026 - Lab alumnus Mario and Dr. Poon published a research article in the journal Biochemistry and Biophysics Reports in collaboration with Prof. Binata Joddar's group entitled "Microstructural analysis of the human ventricular myocardium in subjects with Type-II Diabetes"

January 2026 - Dr. Poon travelled to Tokyo, Japan to be a seminar speaker at the University of Tokyo Department of Chemical System Engineering
