Come home to celebrate the Miner Engineering community!
The UTEP Miguel A. Loya College of Engineering invites all engineering and computer science alumni, friends and supporters to return to campus and celebrate Homecoming Week: September 20–26, 2026!
Homecoming is more than a tradition — it is a celebration of the people, achievements and connections that make the Miner Engineering community strong. Join fellow alumni, faculty, staff and students as we reconnect, share memories and celebrate the continued impact of UTEP Engineers around the world.
Each year, the Gold Nugget Award recognizes exceptional alumni whose professional achievements, leadership and commitment to UTEP represent the very best of the Miner spirit. In 2026, we are proud to honor two distinguished leaders from the Miguel A. Loya College of Engineering: Juan Sanchez (B.S. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, 1994; M.S. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, 1996) and Robert “Bobby” Gonzales (B.S. in Civil Engineering, 1985). Their accomplishments and contributions to their professions and communities showcase the innovation, dedication and excellence that define Miner Engineers. Read the announcement.
Whether you crossed the stage recently or are celebrating decades as a Miner, Homecoming is your opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet the next generation of engineers and experience how the College continues to shape the future through education, research and innovation.
