Welcome
Facilities Management, under the leadership of Associate Vice President Gregory McNicol, oversees Facilities Services, Planning and Construction and Space Management. Working together as a team, we strive to fulfill the mission and vision of the University.
The UTEP campus has a rich history, and its architecture and infrastructure is truly a unique and important aspect of this history. Our campus and facilities are serviced by approximately 200 employees working as a team to operate, maintain, repair, renovate, and clean over 5.21 million square feet of space in 80 structures located on 421 acres.
As a team, we support UTEP's excellence in teaching, research, administration, and public service activities. Our services include:
- Maintenance and operations of buildings, equipment, and the infrastructure
- Research infrastructure support
- Planning and construction
- Energy management
- Event support
- Custodial and grounds maintenance
- Delivery of utilities
- Stewardship of assigned resources
- Warehouse, surplus, recycling and vehicle fleet management
