The Center for Faculty Leadership and Development, the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects, and the Campus Office of Undergraduate Research Initiative support professional development programs that promote research and creative activities. Faculty are invited to collaborate on areas of research interest via Communities of Practice.
Jumpstart Your Research
The “JumpStart Your Research” program is tailored for faculty who are in the beginning or early stages of their research career. This series of workshops provides faculty and research staff with proposal development training, including research plan development, identification and interpretation of funding opportunities, and proposal writing basics.
Campus Office of Undergraduate Research Initiatives (COURI)
UTEP research faculty members are the life line of undergraduate research. Faculty's role as research advisor/mentor is vital to the success of the undergraduate research experience. COURI supports faculty members’ ability to provide undergraduate students with impactful learning experiences through research and creative activities, under the mentorship of faculty, and in collaboration with UTEP academic leaders, advisors, and other supporting units.
