Am I Ready for Sex?

Sex is something natural and healthy that happens in life. However, a lot of people question themselves and whether they are ready to have sex for the first time. It is a question asked by many and it should not have a complicated answer.

Specifically, when you decide to have sex is something very personal, and you have to be aware that is a decision only you have to make. You do not depend on other people’s opinions on when you are ready to have sexual intercourse. The most important thing to have in mind is knowing if you are ready to give consent. Mutual consent is something crucial when you are going to have any type of sexual interactions with another person. Consent is necessary each and every time you are engaging in the activity.

There are wrong reasons people push themselves to have sex. Some of these reasons include doing it to please your partner. You do not have to please your partner; because, you have to think about you first. Also, another wrong reason is because you don’t want to look immature. There is no set age, time, or date were you have to engage in sex, so it does not make you immature if you don’t want to engage in it. You may receive peer pressure form friends so they make you think you should have sex, but that is not their decision to make. You may have beliefs and different opinions towards sex, but always be straight in what you believe in and go with it.

It is also crucial to be prepared when engaging in any type of sexual activity. There are a lot of risks that come when having sex. STDs and STIs are very common, and it is best to be protected against it. If you are engaging in sexual activities may sure to play it safe and use a condom. This to done to prevent unwanted things in your life such as pregnancy and disease and promotes a healthier life.

In conclusion, having sex is a very natural thing to do and there is nothing wrong with it. Just make sure you feel right and do it with the right person. Sex is something that should never feel like something you have to do, or something you are forced to do. Be sure to always be safe and healthy, the less risks you take, the better.
