Rubin Center Fall Exhibition Opening
Thursday, October 12th, 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., Rubin Center.
"We hope you will join us on Thursday, October 12th from 5-7:30 pm to celebrate our three fall exhibitions. We will be launching the catalog for Suzi Davidoff: Simplified World, designed by Antonio Castro H., which documents the artist's newest work calling our attention to the intricacies of endangered species from across the globe. We will also celebrate the opening of George Rodriguez: Where Is My Exile? presenting the work of Seattle-based ceramicist George Rodriguez, whose figurative ceramic work engages directly with the political, social and cultural dimensions of immigrants in the United States; and the opening of Duality of Presence, curated by Kerriane Quick and Jessica Tolbert, bringing together the work of 19 contemporary metalsmiths united by their use of materials to convey information and history, and to provoke discourse. Artists and curators will be present at this free, public event."
