Registration
Registration: Online
Registration is now open for the University of Texas, El Paso’s annual Borderlands History Conference. This year’s theme is “Violence, Coercion, and Social Change in Borderlands History,” and early registration, at a reduced price, will be open until December 20, so please register early. To register, please visit the above link. This will take you to the registration page for the conference. This page has a few strange features because it is adapted from a continuing education program offering classes, so please do not be distracted by references to an instructor and a course description, or to the $95.00 fee, which does not apply to all categories of conference attendees.
Click on the “Enroll Yourself” button, which will take you to a log on page. Click on “Sign Up” in the right hand column to establish an account. Once that is finished you may complete the registration process.
As you register, you will see a number of different price options for domestic faculty, international student, community members and so on. Check the appropriate box and then, to the right of “Optional Fees” please also indicate whether you will join us for the Oral History Workshop (a $15.00 fee), the Saturday dinner at Café Mayapan, and the Sunday Guided Tour of the Border (the last two activities are covered in the price of registration, as are other meals, but we need a head count). Then please fill out information on your organization, title, meal option, and so on. Click on “Proceed to Checkout” then, which will take you to a conventional payment page that should be self-explanatory.
Naturally, if you have problems with this process, please contact David Robles at historyconference@utep.edu
