If coming from I-10 West, consider exiting at Mesa Street, Porfirio Diaz Street or Executive Center Boulevard instead of the Schuster or Spur 1966 exits.

From I-10 East, Loop 375 or Paisano Drive, consider exiting at Executive Center Boulevard and taking Mesa Street instead of exiting at Schuster Avenue or Spur 1966.

Pedestrian crossings on Schuster Avenue are available at the intersection of Schuster and Hawthorne Street, underneath the Spur 1966 roundabout, and at the intersection of Schuster and Sun Bowl Drive.

The one-year City of El Paso project will include full street reconstruction and improvements on Schuster Avenue between Prospect Street and Campbell Street. The seven-phase project began at Prospect Street and will move east toward Campbell Street. Throughout the project, Schuster Avenue will be reduced to single lane, two-way traffic.

Please plan extra time to travel to campus and park during this time, or take an alternate route. Thank you for driving with caution in the area.

For questions about the project, please contact Robert Meredith at rwmeredith@utep.edu or 915-747-8515.
