UTEP Raises $41.5 Million in FY25, Topping $40M for Fourth Year in A Row

Funds support scholarships engineering, athletics, science and hundreds of other programs

EL PASO, Texas (Oct. 21, 2025) – More that 6,428 donors gave $41,558,827 to support the mission of The University of Texas at El Paso during UTEP’s 2025 Fiscal Year, which ended August 31. This is the fourth year in a row that giving to UTEP has topped $40 million.

For the fourth year in a row, giving to UTEP has topped $40 million. In fiscal year 2025, the University received $41,558,827 from donors.

“We are deeply grateful to the thousands of friends of UTEP who support our students and our mission,” said UTEP President Heather Wilson. “Our donors help us change lives and advance knowledge. We couldn’t do nearly as much without them.”

Scholarships, mining engineering, science, athletics and computer science were UTEP programs that received some of the largest gifts in FY25. In total, donors made 17,162 unique gifts to 514 supported programs and projects. More than 1,900 individuals were first time donors to UTEP last year.

“I am proud of the work that UTEP’s advancement team did this year, helping to connect giving opportunities to our generous donors,” said Gary Edens, Ed.D., interim vice president of institutional advancement. “From small ones to large ones, every gift makes a difference.”

Gifts under $25,000 made up $5.2 million of the FY25 total. Major gifts, or gifts above $25,000 and less than $1 million totaled $13.6 million. Principle gifts, or gifts over $1 million, totaled $22.8 million.
