Glory Road Closure to Extend through Randolph Intersection

The construction on Glory Road will extend to part of Randolph Drive next week and remain closed through Aug. 28. However, the roads will reopen briefly to accommodate two major concerts in the Don Haskins Center.

The construction on Glory Road will extend to part of Randolph Drive next week and remain closed through Aug. 28.

Glory Road has been closed west of Randolph Drive since June 30 to dig water lines for the new Miner Crossing residence hall. It will reopen at 5 p.m. Friday, July 31 and remain open until Monday morning, Aug. 3 to help ease expected traffic for Sunday’s Shinedown concert at the Don Haskins Center.

Starting Monday, Aug. 3, Glory Road will close again, this time including the intersection and part of Randolph Drive (see map below). Vehicles will be able to access the Glory Road 3 (GR-3) parking lot from Glory Road. Vehicles can access the Randolph 2 (RA-2) parking lot from Robinson Avenue.

The roads will open again briefly from 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 until early Monday, Aug. 17 for the Santana and The Doobie Brothers show at the Don Haskins Center on Aug. 16.

Pedestrian routes will remain open throughout the area, including along Glory Road and Randolph Drive. The Miner Metro Shuttle route through the area has also been updated. Learn more here.
