Registration Begins for Continuing Education Courses for Older Adults

The University of Texas at El Paso’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is taking applications for adults over the age of 50 who wish to take classes that aim to excite and stimulate their minds. Classes include art, current events, history, foreign languages, literature, music, science and more.

OLLI seeks to connect its members with the brightest minds and ideas, including emeritus and current faculty from UTEP and other colleges as well as professionals from the community. OLLI members share knowledge, spark ideas, inspire new thinking and forge new friendships.

Registration is from Jan. 8-18, and enrollment costs $70 for as many courses as desired during the spring term. There is a $25 processing fee for new members, and a $25 late fee for applications received after Jan. 18.

Adults can register by phone by calling the OLLI office at 915-747-6280, in person from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Miners Hall Suite 209, or by mailing applications to OLLI at UTEP, Miners Hall Suite 209, 500 W. University Ave., El Paso, Texas 79968.
