EPCM Construction awarded a $46,000 grant to Beverley Argus-Calvo, Ph.D., associate dean in UTEP’s College of Education, to lead a team that will conduct focus group meetings to benefit the design of the planned El Paso Children’s Museum for All.

As part of “Unheard Voices: Building El Paso Children’s Museum for All,” the team will meet with groups of parents who live in under-resourced El Paso neighborhoods to identify the factors that limit their families’ access to and participation in cultural events and spaces in the El Paso region. The project began June 1 and will last one year.
Argus-Calvo will be assisted by David Carrejo, Ph.D., associate professor of teacher education; Angus Mungal, Ph.D., associate professor of educational leadership and foundations; William Robertson, Ph.D., professor of teacher education; and Ron Wagler, Ph.D., associate professor of science education. Claudia Saldana, Ph.D., is the project director.
