UTEP Welcomes Students Back to Campus with Week of Festivities

The first day of classes for the Spring 2019 semester at The University of Texas at El Paso is Tuesday, Jan. 22.

The Student Engagement and Leadership Center has planned Miner Welcome with many fun-filled activities from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at UTEP’s Union Plaza.

Here are a few highlights:

Tuesday, Jan. 22:  Leadership groups will have tables set up providing information on their respective organizations.

Wednesday, Jan. 23: The Alumni Association will sponsor a graduation photo booth for those students who will participate in Spring Commencement on May 18-19.

Thursday, Jan. 24: Several carnival games and prizes will be available. The UTEP men’s basketball team will play Old Dominion at 7 p.m. at the Don Haskins Center.

Friday, Jan. 25: Fresh Friday will include ‘80s and ‘90s music with frees snacks and freebies provided while supplies last.
