Crystal G. Herman, associate dean for curriculum in the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at El Paso, offers advice for mid-level faculty administrators on how to most effectively deal with student concerns in an article published in Inside Higher Ed.

In the article, Herman — who also serves as the associate professor of theatrical costume design for UTEP’s Theatre and Dance Department — offers five lessons she has learned during her time as a faculty administrator.
