UTEP to Host Commencement Preview on Friday

The University of Texas at El Paso will host a Commencement preview from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 at the south end of Sun Bowl Stadium.

Members of the media are invited to stop by between 10:30 a.m. and noon to interview event organizers and students for coverage leading up to the Commencement ceremonies on May 14 and 15.

Graduates from 2020 and graduation candidates for spring 2021 participating in the Spring 2021 Commencement Ceremonies are invited to the preview to see what to expect on their Commencement day.

The University will provide information on parking, seating and the check-in process and answer additional questions about the ceremonies.

This event is similar to an open house and an opportunity for graduates who are not familiar with Sun Bowl Stadium to check out the area.

On Friday, May 14, graduates from the colleges of Business Administration, Education, and Liberal Arts will walk across the stage at the in-person Commencement ceremony, and on Saturday, May 15, the colleges of Engineering, Health Sciences and Science, and the schools of Nursing and Pharmacy will recognize their graduates.

Both ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m.

The graduation ceremonies also will be livestreamed at www.utep.edu.

When: 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday, May 7, 2021.

Where: South end of Sun Bowl Stadium. Members of the media may park in the Dawson 1 parking lot.
