New Student Orientation Dates
ORIENTATION ELIGIBILITY
UTEP New Student Orientation is for undergraduate freshman and transfer students.
Orientation is not required for:
- Continuing or returning students
- Transient students who are not seeking a UTEP degree
- Second bachelor's degree students
- UTEP Online students enrolled in fully online degree programs
- Graduate students in master's or doctoral programs
Students who are not required to attend New Student Orientation can still learn more about UTEP by scheduling a campus visit. A campus visit provides an opportunity to explore campus and ask questions.
FRESHMAN STUDENT ORIENTATION DATES
Freshman Orientation schedules depend on your admission term. Review the section that applies to you.
ADMITTED FOR SPRING 2027
Day 1 is required. Reserve Day 2 for a possible advising appointment.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS SESSION?
This session is for first-time college students starting UTEP in Spring 2027, including students who delayed college entry by one semester or are beginning college as nontraditional students.

Both days are required to complete Freshman Student Orientation.

COMING SOON dates will open only after earlier sessions become full. We recommend registering for the earliest available session because course options may become more limited during later sessions.

TRANSFER STUDENT ORIENTATION DATES
Day 1 is required. Reserve both days; you only attend Day 2 if your advising appointment is scheduled then.
