Common Data Set
Each academic year, CIERP provides information about UTEP through the Common Data Set (CDS) Initiative in order to provide accurate and timely data for college guidebook publishers and members of the higher education community. Since numerous publishers collect information through lengthy campus questionnaires, the CDS allows colleges to capture the most requested data in a standard format while decreasing the workload of administrators.
The Common Data Set is organized around the following topics:
- A. General campus
- B. Enrollment and persistence
- C. First-time, first-year (freshmen) admissions
- D. Transfer admissions
- E. Academic offerings and policies
- F. Student life
- G. Annual expenses
- H. Financial aid
- I. Instructional faculty and class size
- J. Degrees conferred
- K. Definitions
