After a successful 20-plus-year accounting career, Angelica Castro decided to challenge herself in UTEP’s Ph.D. in Business Administration program and pursue a career in academia or financial consulting. By combining her professional experience with research methodologies, Angelica engages in meaningful research with faculty advisors on U.S. and international financial reporting standards.
A Ph.D. in Business Administration opens doors for individuals interested in research careers or higher education teaching positions. UTEP graduates have gone on to teaching positions at New Mexico State University and Texas Woman's University.
