Hector Cruz Lopez is currently pursuing his doctoral degree as a research assistant developing a methodology for designing the electrified transportation network at UTEP's Advancing Sustainability through Powered Infrastructure for Roadway Electrification (ASPIRE) Research Center. He was recently awarded the Outstanding Thesis Award for the 2020-2021 academic year.
