Brad Jacobson, Ph.D., has been an educator for more than two decades. He knows the scholarly and public work we do in English — writing, teaching, reading and creating — can be both fulfilling and socially impactful. Jacobson values opportunities to discuss with students how graduate education can help to achieve their goals.
M.A. in English Studies graduates’ advanced analytical, writing and critical thinking skills prepare them for a wide range of professional paths. Alumni pursue careers as creative producers, secondary English instructors and curriculum developers, applying their expertise in storytelling, pedagogy and content development across educational, media and creative industries. Some graduates also choose to continue their studies at the doctoral level.
