Emmanuel Rodriguez has had a lifelong obsession with things that fly, evidenced by the science fair he won in elementary school for his project, “Best Paper Plane Design.” He parlayed that passion into multiple degrees at UTEP and a career stop at Raytheon as a senior manufacturing engineer. Since 2018, he has taught classes at National University.
UTEP is a top 25 producer of mechanical engineering undergraduate degrees in the nation. Graduates find work in the aerospace, systems, biomedical, robotics and defense sectors as well as the energy sector.
